A two-player trading game: one market of five cards, and every goods pile pays from the top and never refills. The first diamond sold is worth seven and the last is worth five. About 20 minutes.
Twenty minutes for two, with almost nothing to explain: take goods or sell them, never both. The first round teaches it and the second is already a real game, which is a rare property in anything with this much decision in it.
Nothing is typed and nothing is said, so it is comfortable for a pair who would rather think than perform — and it is one of the two games here a single person can play properly against something that has opinions.
