Take four. Hand them the other eight.

Five factories of four tiles. Take every tile of one glaze and the rest slide to the middle for whoever wants them. Two people, about 20 minutes.

It is the quiet one, and there is a real place for that. Nothing here is timed, nobody is shouting an answer over anybody, and there is no round where somebody sits out — two people take turns at a board they can both see, which makes it the game to reach for when a one-to-one wants something to do with its hands rather than a party.

Everything is face up, which is why it plays so well over a call. There is no hand to describe, no secret to read out and nothing that goes wrong when somebody's connection drops for ten seconds: they come back to the same table they left. The only thing neither player knows is which tiles come out of the bag next, and neither of you can do anything about that.

It teaches itself in one round and stays interesting for twenty. The first game somebody plays, they take what they want. The second game they notice they have been handing everything else to the person opposite all along, and that is the game arriving.
